Symop and its members have set their hearts on uniting around one table all the components of a modern atelier of mechanical production. The bet is partly won: the association counts today about 220 members and continues to work to improve its representation. The groups meet regularly and introduce projects that help the sector to move forward and sometimes, by rebound, all the federation, when it is not all the profession.
 

Professional meetings, general meetings and working groups produce documents which inform the sectors clients, clarify sales conditions in the profession and acts as early warning to government to intervene on certain subjects.
 

Apart from each professional group, members have created two commissions. The Expositions Commission puts in place practical tools and considers strategies of participation in trade fairs. The Trade Promotion Commission studies the problems of training and communication in favor of young people.
